Participation requirements
As lectures are pre-recorded and made available through UCLearn, students are encouraged to engage with lecture content each week and seek assistance from the Unit Convener whenever clarification or additional support is required regarding unit content or assessment tasks.
Practical classes provide opportunities for students to apply theoretical concepts in a hands-on environment and are an important component of the learning experience. Attendance at practical classes is compulsory when the class includes an assessment activity or assessment-related component.
Students are responsible for ensuring their attendance is recorded correctly and for completing any assessment tasks associated with their allocated practical class. Students are expected to attend the practical class in which they are enrolled and complete all assessment requirements as scheduled.
If circumstances prevent attendance at a compulsory practical class or completion of an assessment activity, students must notify the Unit Convener as soon as possible and submit a Variation to Assessment form in accordance with University policy. Early communication is encouraged to allow appropriate support and consideration where possible.
